Job Requirements

  • Education - high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and patient care
  • Willingness to learn and perform assigned duties
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Availability to work PRN (as needed) shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Education - high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to explain procedures and provide patient comfort
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and hospital policies
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares patient for exam or procedure and assist technologist nurse or physician
  • Maintains patient and staff confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrates understanding of radiation dose reference levels and follows proper protocols
  • Verifies patient identification using two forms of ID
  • Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely according to policies
  • Maintains a clean and serviceable work environment
  • Manages inventory, places supply orders and cleans imaging rooms thoroughly
