Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a related field
  • Two years of full-time professional experience in student services or related field
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel
  • Valid California Driver's License and completion of CSU Defensive Driver's Training course
  • Successful completion of background check including criminal records and sexual offender registry
  • Compliance with requirements under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in a higher education setting

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university in behavioral sciences, public administration, or a related field
  • Two years of full-time professional experience in student services or related areas
  • Demonstrated competence in student development and program coordination
  • Experience working with diverse and multicultural populations
  • Experience in academic advising, coaching, or mentoring preferred
  • Experience in event planning and social media or website management preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide academic coaching and mentoring to first-generation and diverse students
  • Coordinate recruitment and retention initiatives to support student success
  • Plan and execute events and programming for the REACH Student Success Center
  • Supervise and train 4-5 front desk student ambassadors
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to student engagement and center activities
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student organizations to enhance support services
  • Ensure an inclusive and welcoming environment that promotes belonging and equity
