Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • two years of experience related to routine customer service and administrative duties
  • ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
  • ability to read, sort, check, count and verify numbers
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to resolve difficult or stressful customer service issues
  • availability to work the specified shift schedule
  • basic computer proficiency
  • bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Job Qualifications

  • two years of experience related to routine customer service and administrative duties
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • effective communication and basic instructional skills
  • strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation

  • basic computer skills and knowledge of productivity software

Job Duties

  • Serves as the Sunland Park Center Business Office receptionist
  • provides on-site representation for the Center's education programs and services
  • provides support to the business office, site director, faculty, staff, trainers, students and visitors
  • provides information regarding programs, general education coursework and basic skills work
  • assists with BANNER/Navigate registration, drop/add/withdrawals
  • maintains information regarding jobs available for students
  • assists students with information and procedures for admissions, payment of tuition, fees and financial aid
  • prepares and makes bank deposits
  • general word processing, on-site computer processing and documentation of all payments
  • monitors all activities at the center and performs related work as assigned
