Job Duties

  • Serve as the advising and event management supervisor for designated categories of RSOs (Academic and Professional)
  • Meet regularly with students to provide support and advice on their events and organizational issues
  • Coordinate with Facilities, Sodexo, and other service providers to support RSO events
  • Coordinate with Campus Safety, Risk Management, and Legal departments to minimize university risk and liability for RSO events
  • Facilitate communication with students, staff, and faculty across campus for successful event execution
  • Manage all support and approval processes in the RSO Event system in SchedulER
  • Manage RSO recruiting events such as Fall and Spring Activities Fairs, RSO Showcase, Open House, and Preview Day
  • Collaborate with staff to offer workshops on event planning, communication, fundraising, conflict management, and leadership transition
  • Support large-scale programs including Orientation, Homecoming Weekend, and Blue & Gold Week
  • Serve as essential personnel to campus crisis as designated by Dean of Students
