Job Requirements

  • Regular physical attendance required
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Ability to work a fluctuating schedule including nights, weekends, and college closures
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 pounds
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing over 50 pounds
  • Reach and grasp objects
  • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Use video display terminals
  • Use manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Communicate information orally and in writing
  • Receive and understand oral and written information
  • Proofread and check documents for accuracy
  • Work with equipment or procedures where carelessness may lead to injury
  • Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environments due to extreme temperatures and noise levels
  • Operate motor vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience or Associate's degree and three years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Publisher or similar software
  • Skilled in attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
  • Skilled in managing and resolving conflict positively
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with diverse populations
  • Ability to build relationships and manage customer expectations with a high level of service
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and assist with planning and implementation of student life and campus activities
  • Monitor, track, and analyze data to identify trends and gaps in student engagement
  • Facilitate training and maintain current knowledge of student engagement platforms
  • Support athletic, intramural, and wellness events including coordinating activities and events
  • Recruit and supervise volunteers for programs, events, and activities
  • Develop communication campaigns to publicize college, department, and campus programs and initiatives
  • Maintain and monitor the department website, email, and social media accounts
  • Design, edit, produce, and distribute promotional materials such as brochures, newsletters, reports, flyers, posters, and manuals
  • Assist with budgeting, prepare and process documentation for payments and financial transactions
  • Coordinate and monitor mascot appearances and maintenance of costume and materials
  • Manage office supplies and equipment procurement
  • Coordinate retention initiatives through the mentor program, including record keeping and report preparation
  • Travel to meetings, seminars, and conferences
  • Participate in campus committees and assignments
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
