Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED)
- Enrolled as a Cal Poly Pomona student
- Ability to obtain ServeSafe Certification within 30 days of hire for food handlers
- Minimum of 6 months experience in quick service restaurant preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in team environment
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Flexibility to work varying schedule due to campus holidays and closures
- Conduct oneself honestly, conscientiously, and courteously

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare fruits, vegetables, meats, doughs, marinades and seasonings for chefs and line cooks in advance of peak hours
- Consult stocking requirements and pick lists to pull items from cold storage for preparation
- Sanitize kitchen surfaces, tools, utensils, and wash food prior to preparation
- Document items pulled from storage and report food/liquid waste
- Follow executive chef instructions regarding leftover food usage
- Coordinate with wait staff to anticipate prep work needs
- Assist chefs with preparation of dishes including special orders
- Adhere to cleaning and equipment breakdown schedules
- Clean and sanitize soiled dishes and maintain dishwashing equipment
- Maintain dish room cleanliness and safety compliance
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers and answering questions
- Carry dirty dishes from dining room to dish room
- Wipe tabletops and chairs and perform dining room sanitation
- Restock stations and ensure drink machines are filled
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms
- Monitor customer entry and exit
- Sweep and mop as needed
- Process transactions using registers following cash handling policies
- Maintain front cashier area clean and organized
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
