Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Registered for classes at the University or show proof of registration from another institution
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume operation
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and hygiene required
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds or more
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position or move about for the entire shift
  • Ability to follow directions from all members of management
  • Regular attendance for scheduled shifts
  • Must attend required training sessions which may be virtual or in person
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 4-hour shifts for at least 8 hours per week

  • Ability to work a minimum of 4-hour shifts and commit to at least 8 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Preparation and serving of various hot and cold coffee, tea, special beverages following specific standardized recipes
  • Preparation and serving of ice cream and milk shakes and other various desserts, pastries, and food items
  • Preparing and serving of various food items
  • Operating and cleaning of various coffee equipment and various other beverage machines, blenders, and ice cream machines
  • Guest service including greeting the guests in a friendly manner, promoting and recommending menu options to guests, taking orders, and addressing dietary restrictions and customizations for guests
  • Restocking supplies, stocking and cleaning storage areas, lifting and stocking items for service
  • Keeping the work environment and seating areas clean and sanitary and organized
