Job Requirements

  • Be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
  • Reside within the State of Washington
  • Have at least 1 year of professional cooking experience
  • Available to work weekends and flexible weekday hours
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to cook multiple menu items simultaneously in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, etc.)
  • Ability to follow and execute standardized recipes accurately
  • At least 1 year of professional cooking experience
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy service periods
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow kitchen systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with other kitchen staff
  • Willingness to support team members and assist where needed during service
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain professional conduct in a kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in operating multiple kitchen stations (grill, sauté, fryer, prep, etc.) during service
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Support menu preparation, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and ingredient preparation
  • Monitor food inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to supervisors
  • Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace throughout the shift
  • Provide weekend event support on specified dates
  • Track and report the amount of time worked
