Job Requirements
- Be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Reside within the State of Washington
- Have at least 1 year of professional cooking experience
- Available to work weekends and flexible weekday hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

- Maintain good academic standing
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to cook multiple menu items simultaneously in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, etc.)
- Ability to follow and execute standardized recipes accurately
- At least 1 year of professional cooking experience
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy service periods
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow kitchen systems
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with other kitchen staff
- Willingness to support team members and assist where needed during service
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain professional conduct in a kitchen environment
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Assist in operating multiple kitchen stations (grill, sauté, fryer, prep, etc.) during service
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Support menu preparation, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and ingredient preparation
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to supervisors
- Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace throughout the shift
- Provide weekend event support on specified dates
- Track and report the amount of time worked
