Job Requirements

  • High school degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of relevant administrative or customer service experience
  • Proficiency in office software and technology, such as MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide administrative support to the Student and Academic Services office, including answering calls and email inquiries, handling mail, routing materials, ordering supplies, recruitment and travel arrangements, purchasing card (pcard) reconciliation, and scheduling
  • Answer routine questions regarding admissions, fellowships, registration, and academic advising
  • Be the primary receptionist for Weill Hall, welcoming and assisting all visitors to the school, answering general inquiries, and routing calls
  • Work with the recruitment and admissions staff to organize admission application materials and to answer admissions mailbox questions
  • Coordinate the graduate student worker's hours, help delegate their tasks, and guide communication between the student worker and the Student and Academic Services team
  • Support Student and Academic Services events including orientation, Holiday Party, Spring Preview, and Commencement, as well as select Ford School and student organization events
  • Help support the Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Junior Summer Institute program, including scheduling events and purchasing supplies and food
  • Help with tracking and reporting student data, including student demographics, enrollment, and benchmarking data
  • Update Student and Academic Services web content as necessary
  • Assist the academic advisor and registrar with course evaluations and registration
