Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service preferred
- ability to physically stand and walk during entire shift
- ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds
- proficiency in English communication
- completion of responsible vendor certification
- completion of food safety certification
- flexible schedule availability
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop frequently
- able to deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
- ability to speak, read and write English
- ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
- complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
- complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
- ability to work flexible hours
- work in a fast paced environment
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food or drink running, etc., as needed
- be knowledgeable regarding food and beverage menus and items, current food and or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
- accurately enter orders into POS system
- retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
- collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
- perform shift changes, opening or closing duties, assigned sidework
- pack and verify all ToGo orders with guest
- greet guests at the curbside pickup area
