Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service preferred
  • ability to physically stand and walk during entire shift
  • ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds
  • proficiency in English communication
  • completion of responsible vendor certification
  • completion of food safety certification
  • flexible schedule availability

Job Qualifications

  • Can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift
  • can reach, bend, stoop frequently
  • able to deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
  • ability to speak, read and write English
  • ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
  • complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
  • complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • work in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
  • support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food or drink running, etc., as needed
  • be knowledgeable regarding food and beverage menus and items, current food and or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
  • accurately enter orders into POS system
  • retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
  • collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
  • perform shift changes, opening or closing duties, assigned sidework
  • pack and verify all ToGo orders with guest
  • greet guests at the curbside pickup area
