Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • two to five years job-related experience
  • maintain license or certification in good standing
  • current BCLS (CPR) certification

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Master's or advanced degree preferred
  • two to five years job-related experience required

  • current knowledge of cardiovascular research and procedures
  • proficiency in computer applications

Job Duties

  • Coordinates diagnostic work up and care of valve patients
  • manages patient tracking, triage, and wait lists
  • participates in case selection using defined guidelines
  • plans and implements Valve Clinic and Program
  • oversees valve clinic schedule and processes
  • coordinates record review with team members
  • participates on committees and task forces
  • makes rounds to hospitalized patients to assess care and discharge planning
  • develops educational materials for patients and families
  • coordinates communication with outside agencies
  • collaborates with marketing for community outreach
  • manages TVT registry ensuring data accuracy and compliance
  • acts as primary resource for TVT registry data integrity
  • compiles documents for clinical use
  • abstracts data from medical records
  • identifies and resolves quality issues from registry
  • works with IT and quality departments
  • retrieves data for research studies
  • maintains registry software updates
  • supports quality and committee activities
  • creates physician and service report cards
  • participates in informed consent processes
  • assists in program evaluation and improvement
  • conducts patient care assessments
  • develops action plans for performance improvement
  • participates in process improvement events
  • coordinates clinical research follow-ups
  • collaborates on clinical protocols and research opportunities
  • ensures confidentiality of registry and patient files
  • develops power plans for cardiovascular care
  • documents in EMR
  • promotes multidisciplinary communication
  • monitors customer satisfaction
  • develops training programs
  • ensures safety and respectful communication
  • completes other assigned duties
  • attends department meetings
  • completes mandatory education and competencies
  • maintains license and certifications
  • utilizes universal precautions
