Job Requirements
- must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
- subject to continual loud noises
- must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands
- normal or corrected hearing and vision are required
Job Qualifications
- basic computer knowledge
- strong organizational skills
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- read, write, and understand the English language
- ability to successfully complete forklift training and hazardous material certification/training
Job Duties
- assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, check in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders
- read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
- move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
- sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, parts, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping
- assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
- mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
- open crates and other containers
- stock incoming material to its proper location
