Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- minimum of one year work experience in inventory control or related experience
- basic computer skills with inventory management systems
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred
- physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- successful completion of Physical Ability Test
- valid state driver’s license
- ability to obtain Commercial Driver License within six months if required
- ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts and company vehicles
- residency within 35 roadway miles of the job location
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- minimum of one year work experience in inventory control, material handling, warehousing, or related areas
- basic computer skills including inventory management software such as Maximo
- familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
- ability to perform basic math functions
- knowledge of logistics related to shipping and inventory relocation
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently
- physical capability to lift up to 70 pounds safely
Job Duties
- Issue material under proper authorization
- process and file required records including picking up, hauling, and delivering materials while operating company vehicles
- check received materials for quantity and condition
- report irregularities and abnormal conditions
- identify, sort, and record material returns with proper documentation
- operate computer terminals and related office equipment to support materials management
- prepare and pack materials for shipment or storage including hazardous materials under safety procedures
- operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes
- assist with maintaining efficient material storage and inventory levels
- perform inventory cycle counts and discrepancy adjustments with approval
- assist employees of higher classification
- perform safety-compliant duties as required
