Job Description

The role of a Product Handler is crucial in our operations, responsible for the receiving, dating, rotating, and storing of food products according to First In, First Out (FIFO) principles. This position involves delivering products continuously or as per scheduled requisitions to various departments, ensuring seamless supply chain flow. Employees in this role must carefully follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to decant products safely and maintain product integrity. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food handling or warehouse environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to walk, stoop, bend, and stand for 8 to 10 hours per shift

  • Proficiency in using electrical and manual pallet jacks

Job Duties

  • Receive products and properly date and rotate stock according to FIFO practices
  • Store products in designated storage areas maintaining organization
  • Deliver products to various departments following delivery schedules or requisitions
  • Decant products adhering to HACCP guidelines ensuring food safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and department
  • Break down cardboard and follow recycling processes
  • Operate electrical and manual pallet jacks safely and efficiently
