Job Requirements
- be at least 16 years of age
- pass a drug screening in applicable states
- be able to lift 40 to 65 pounds
- stand for extended periods
- be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- have basic knowledge of animals and pet products
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in retail or customer service
- knowledge of pet care and products
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work as part of a team
- willingness to learn and participate in training programs
- ability to lift heavy items
Job Duties
- help neighbors select appropriate pet toys and supplies
- review and compare pet food ingredients for customers
- fit harnesses and accessories on pets
- educate customers on pet care
- stock shelves and manage inventory
- feed and care for in-store animals
- process sales transactions accurately
