Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- Ability to pass a drug screening where applicable
- Capability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Desire to learn about pets and pet products
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of animal care and pet products
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting 40-65 lbs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to learn and adapt through training programs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Help customers select appropriate pet products such as toys and food
- Review and compare product ingredient labels with customers
- Fit pets with accessories such as harnesses
- Educate customers about pet ownership and care
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory
- Ring up purchases accurately and efficiently
- Provide care for pets including feeding and cleaning habitats
