Job Requirements

Be at least 16 years old
Pass a drug screening where applicable
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Basic math and reading skills
Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Provide exceptional customer service

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of animal care and pet products
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to operate cashier systems efficiently
Physical ability to lift 40-65 pounds and stand for long periods
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to communicate effectively with customers
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

Assist customers in selecting appropriate toys and supplies for their pets
Review and compare ingredient labels of pet foods for concerned customers
Fit pets with proper harnesses and accessories
Educate customers on pet ownership and care
Stock shelves and organize merchandise
Process transactions accurately as a cashier
Provide care for in-store pets including feeding and cleaning habitats
