Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous related work experience preferred
- Ability to operate POS equipment and telephone preferred for cashier roles
- 4+ years personal experience with outdoor hobbies preferred for outdoor enthusiast roles
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Acceptable hearing and vision levels
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Strong situational awareness and observation skills
- Must meet federal and state requirements for firearms sales and processing for fishing and hunting sales roles
- Ability to meet requirements to obtain and maintain FOID card in Illinois for fishing and hunting sales roles
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice preferred for asset protection roles
- Previous related work experience preferred
- Ability to operate POS equipment, symbol, and telephone for cashier roles
- Strong customer service orientation
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in basic mathematical computations
- Knowledge of inventory software and order processing
- Familiarity with outdoor hobbies and interests such as fishing, hunting, and camping appreciated
- Ability to meet federal and state requirements for firearms transactions (fishing and hunting sales roles)
- CPR and first responder certification is a plus (asset protection roles)
- Experience in loss prevention or criminal justice is a plus (asset protection roles)
Job Duties
- Provide fast, friendly customer service to customers
- Assist customers in navigating product selections and making purchases
- Operate point of sale (POS) equipment accurately
- Maintain clean and organized merchandise displays and stock areas
- Follow company safety rules, operational procedures, and emergency response guidelines
- Perform inventory control and order processing tasks using relevant software
- Engage with customers to build rapport and provide product knowledge and recommendations
