Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in a retail environment
  • Six months supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous lead or grocery store experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain required food handling certifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages
  • Ability to learn and perform cash register functions and generate reports
  • Ability to review operating statements and identify business trends
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control
  • Knowledge of facility and safety control policies and practices
  • Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
  • Good organization skills with attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
  • Knowledge of and willingness to comply with company policies
  • Ability and willingness to obtain required food handling certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
  • One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous lead or grocery store experience preferred
  • Attainment of local and state food handling certifications if applicable

Job Duties

  • Assist Store Manager in ensuring financial integrity through cash accountability and security adherence
  • Follow company policies and ensure employee compliance
  • Maintain correct perishable stock levels using inventory and sales tools
  • Train associates in presentation, freshness, pricing, and food safety standards
  • Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrence
  • Accurately record inventory levels and assist with merchandise presentation
  • Assist in ensuring customer needs are addressed efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with sanitation standards and train associates accordingly
  • Assist with other operational areas as directed by the Store Manager
