Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
- Previous lead or grocery store experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety and procedural documents
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to learn and perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control procedures
- Knowledge of safety and facility control policies
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising
- Good organization skills
- Effective communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies
- Ability to comply with company policies
- Ability to obtain required food handling certifications
- Willingness to train others

Job Duties
- Assist Store Manager in ensuring financial integrity through cash accountability and security practices
- Follow company policies and ensure employee compliance
- Maintain correct perishable stock levels using various planning and ordering tools
- Train associates in perishable product presentation, freshness, pricing standards, and safe food handling
- Record and analyze perishable markdowns to prevent recurrences
- Accurately record inventory levels and assist with operational needs
- Ensure customer needs and requests are addressed promptly
- Support compliance with sanitation standards and cleaning schedules
- Assist with other store operational areas as directed
