Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three years related experience and/or training in retail
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Valid First-Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Capable of managing store operations including budget and loss prevention
- Able to provide quality customer service
- Willingness to work full time and participate in special projects
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three years of related retail experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
- Strong coaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills with ability to build understanding and consensus
- Ability to read and interpret data and metrics
- Ability to write reports, correspondence, and communicate effectively to groups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid First-Aid card within 30 days of hire
- Self-motivated, resourceful, creative, with high integrity and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform job-related duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Oversee the proper handling and processing of incoming and outgoing donations including on-site, processed, salvage goods, and waste
- Maintain sales floor and store appearance including cleanliness of floors, fitting rooms, registers, aisles, lighting, restrooms, showcases, windows, and odor control
- Manage store budgets efficiently including payroll, expenses, and revenue generation
- Ensure proper cash handling and cash register procedures with timely report submissions
- Report loss prevention issues to the Loss Prevention team for accurate investigation and compliance
- Enforce safety and security protocols including door locks, alarms, bank deposits, refunds, safes, incident reports, and fire extinguishers
- Maintain building exterior and parking lot including sidewalks, lights, dumpster, landscaping, stray carts, and signage
- Participate in special projects at any Tacoma Goodwill location
- Ensure high quality customer service from employees delivered in a courteous and timely manner
- Actively engage in interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees following Goodwill's processes
- Maximize sales performance through product rotation, presentation, signage, and inventory management to consistently meet or exceed sales goals
