Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18
- valid driver’s license
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and peak seasons
- physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 pounds
- competency in using register and computer systems
- willingness to travel to other locations and company events
- ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- commitment to promoting a safe and welcoming work environment
- ability to learn and adapt to company processes, policies, and merchandising standards
Job Qualifications
- Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred
- supervisory experience preferred
- must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
- high school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or business preferred
- ability to process merchandise and information through POS systems
- ability to read, write, and count for documentation
- ability to freely access all store areas including sales floor, stock and register areas
- ability to operate store equipment including dolly, hand-truck, forklift, computer, and cash register
- ability to move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and peak seasons
- ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach overhead, drive, and lift as needed
Job Duties
- Recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, disciplining, and retaining efficient team members
- delivering legendary customer service through greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending solutions, adding value, and appreciating customers
- creating and fostering a welcoming environment promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
- scheduling, organizing, and planning daily team activities to ensure efficient store operations
- leading team members to differentiate the shopping experience from competitors
- communicating company policies and processes while evaluating and coordinating improvements with district leadership
- learning sales and profit management to achieve top and bottom line
- promoting a safe and productive work environment
- managing merchandise flow and inventory controls
- learning merchandise resets and presentation per company standards
- evaluating competitive environment and collaborating with operations and merchandising teams
- training on paperwork processing including invoices, schedules, product orders, sales forecasting, payroll analysis, and budget review
- learning inventory management and communication with buyers and distribution centers
- assisting with special projects such as sales events and district support
- setting the tone and reinforcing company mission and values to develop the store as the employer of choice
- addressing team member issues and developing talent for advancement
- training on budgeting, sales forecasting, and auditing store processes
