Job Requirements
- Meet minimum specialized experience for applicable GS grade
- Possess required education or combination of education and experience
- Ability to lift and handle products up to 40 pounds
- Capability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Complete time-in-grade requirements for the GS level applied
- Submit transcripts if qualifying based on education
- Attest to physical ability to perform essential job functions
- Respond to competency-based questionnaire during application
- Federal service requirements as applicable for promotion
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Specialized experience in retail food store management or related fields
- Knowledge of retail procurement and distribution methods
- Experience in developing and applying retail policies and procedures
- Ability to supervise and lead store operations effectively
- Education in business administration, public administration, agricultural economics, or related discipline is desirable
- Graduate-level education may substitute for specialized experience at certain grades
Job Duties
- Plan and direct daily retail operations of a commissary store
- Coordinate procurement and distribution of store merchandise
- Manage store inventory and ensure stock availability
- Implement and oversee retail food merchandising strategies
- Develop and enforce store policies and operating standards
