Job Requirements
- Meet specialized experience or education requirements by announcement closing date
- Submit resume and transcripts if qualifying by education
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and handle products weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb for prolonged periods
- Meet time-in-grade requirements
- Meet time after competitive appointment requirements
- Complete questionnaire on commissary operations, interpersonal skills, and supervision
- Must attest to physical ability in Questionnaire
- Federal service experience equivalent to required grade level
Job Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level for GS-9
- Master’s or equivalent graduate degree related to business administration, public administration, or agricultural economics for GS-9
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-8 for GS-10
- Two and one-half years of progressively higher graduate level education for GS-10
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-9 for GS-11
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of graduate education for GS-11
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-11 for GS-12
- Knowledge of retail procurement and distribution methods
- Principles and procedures of retail food merchandising and store management
- Experience in developing policies for retail food stores
- Experience providing technical advice on merchandising and operations
Job Duties
- Plan daily commissary retail operations
- Direct and coordinate employee activities
- Control inventory and stock levels
- Develop and apply retail policies and procedures
- Provide technical advice on merchandising
- Manage front-end operational tasks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
