Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level for GS-9 or GS-8 for GS-10 or GS-9 for GS-11 or GS-11 for GS-12
  • Master’s degree or equivalent graduate education for GS-9, two and one-half years for GS-10, three years or Ph.D. for GS-11 if related field
  • Knowledge of retail procurement and distribution methods
  • Understanding of principles and procedures of retail food merchandising
  • Experience in retail food store management
  • Ability to develop, interpret, or apply policies and operating standards

Job Duties

  • Plan day-to-day retail commissary operations
  • Direct and coordinate retail food merchandising activities
  • Control procurement and distribution of commissary products
  • Develop and apply policies and operating standards
  • Provide technical advice on merchandising and operational matters
  • Supervise staff and manage front-end commissary operations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
