Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three or more years of management experience or equivalent
- proficiency in communication and computer skills
- ability to demonstrate strong customer service
- genuine interest in animals
- valid motor vehicle license
- ability to work indoors and occasionally perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods
- willingness to travel occasionally
- ability to perform all essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Job Duties
- Build a team that embodies the Petco brand by delivering exceptional service and driving guest loyalty
- attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent
- train, coach, and develop leaders and hourly Pet Care Center partners in all areas required to run the store efficiently and to Petco standards
- create a professional environment that inspires and encourages partner growth and engagement
- lead and implement a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion and collaboration
- ensure quick and courteous service to all guests by helping partners determine needs and sharing product knowledge
- manage partner performance and foster a continuous improvement and growth mindset
- meet or exceed goals related to sales, profitability, and operational excellence
- schedule and adjust labor and payroll to maximize productivity
- review and interpret financial and operational reports
- develop strategies to improve and grow the business
- market the Pet Care Center and oversee community events
- ensure proper health, appearance, welfare, and handling of all animals
- maintain inventory, pricing, merchandising standards and store appearance
- complete accounting, inventory management, and payroll paperwork timely
- ensure compliance with safety, inventory control, and loss prevention standards
- open and close the Pet Care Center per policies
