Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Must be able to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
  • Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Physical capability to perform job duties including setup and breakdown of events
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Ability to work in a public retail store setting with some outdoor duties

Job Qualifications

  • Retail and customer service experience required
  • Experience working with children and children’s events

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and perform activities like face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Help customers shop and find products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote and enroll customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Card programs
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Omni channel processes like BOPIS and SFS
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
