Job Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen years or older
- satisfy federal, state and local legal requirements of the job
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting and standing for long durations
- willingness to work in a public retail store environment
- ability to use standard commercial cleaners and chemicals safely
- commitment to adhering to company policies and procedures
- willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Retail and or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- ability to move throughout the store
- capability to bend, lift, carry, reach and stretch regularly
- ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders safely
- strong customer service skills
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow company policies and safety guidelines
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and early mornings
Job Duties
- Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures
- dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures
- moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement
- cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment
- deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas
- keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs in advance
- seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks
- complete all tasks assigned by supervisor
- perform tasks in accordance with federal, state and county guidelines
- maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers
- project a positive image and serve as a role model
- provide fast and friendly checkout experience including cash handling
- engage customers on rewards program and private label credit cards and complete enrollments
- assist with omnichannel processes like BOPIS and SFS
- participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
- support shrink and safety programs
- adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies to ensure compliance with laws and standards
