Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of 6 years professional experience
  • 5-7 years grocery retail experience in store operations and merchandising preferred
  • previous experience in natural foods industry is a plus
  • ability to lead, support, and contribute to team goals
  • knowledge of health department guidelines and regulations
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to analyze financial statements and create action plans

Job Duties

  • Works with all departments to ensure and maintain appropriate functioning of entire store operations
  • Prepares weekly sales and labor projections, executes to plan, and consistently achieves budgeted payroll percentage
  • Oversees department managers to ensure they are held accountable for their departments including hiring practices and scheduling
  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and supervises Department Managers and staff
  • Manages store financials and demonstrates full comprehension of the Profit and Loss Statement
  • Maintains store sanitation, cleanliness, and a safe work environment in accordance with regulations
  • Coordinates store events including executing weekly sales flyers, merchandising plans, monthly inventories, and marketing promotions
