Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- minimum of 6 years professional experience
- 5-7 years grocery retail experience in store operations and merchandising preferred
- previous experience in natural foods industry is a plus
- ability to lead, support, and contribute to team goals
- knowledge of health department guidelines and regulations
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to analyze financial statements and create action plans
Job Duties
- Works with all departments to ensure and maintain appropriate functioning of entire store operations
- Prepares weekly sales and labor projections, executes to plan, and consistently achieves budgeted payroll percentage
- Oversees department managers to ensure they are held accountable for their departments including hiring practices and scheduling
- Hires, develops, evaluates, and supervises Department Managers and staff
- Manages store financials and demonstrates full comprehension of the Profit and Loss Statement
- Maintains store sanitation, cleanliness, and a safe work environment in accordance with regulations
- Coordinates store events including executing weekly sales flyers, merchandising plans, monthly inventories, and marketing promotions
