Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in retail or food service management
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • detail-oriented with focus on food quality and safety
  • acceptable driving record
  • ability to lift and move store merchandise
  • willingness to complete ServSafe certification if not already obtained

Job Qualifications

  • experience in supervisory or management roles
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • proficiency in inventory management and vendor relations
  • ability to manage and control costs
  • valid driver’s license
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain

Job Duties

  • assist the store manager in supervisory decisions consistent with company standards
  • assist in planning, leadership, and expense control
  • set exemplary professionalism and teamwork standards
  • conduct new employee orientation and training
  • promote employee development and conduct evaluations
  • perform daily store walkthroughs and task delegation
  • maintain accurate deli inventories and order merchandise
  • conduct maintenance and sanitation of deli equipment and area
  • prepare deli and cooked heated items
  • check in deli vendors and verify orders
  • rotate products and check expiration dates
  • complete and pass ServSafe certification
  • hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
