Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in retail or food service management
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- detail-oriented with focus on food quality and safety
- acceptable driving record
- ability to lift and move store merchandise
- willingness to complete ServSafe certification if not already obtained
Job Qualifications
- experience in supervisory or management roles
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to lead and motivate a team
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- proficiency in inventory management and vendor relations
- ability to manage and control costs
- valid driver’s license
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
Job Duties
- assist the store manager in supervisory decisions consistent with company standards
- assist in planning, leadership, and expense control
- set exemplary professionalism and teamwork standards
- conduct new employee orientation and training
- promote employee development and conduct evaluations
- perform daily store walkthroughs and task delegation
- maintain accurate deli inventories and order merchandise
- conduct maintenance and sanitation of deli equipment and area
- prepare deli and cooked heated items
- check in deli vendors and verify orders
- rotate products and check expiration dates
- complete and pass ServSafe certification
- hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
