Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • high school education or equivalent preferred
  • previous retail and/or cashiering experience highly preferred
  • basic computer skills
  • beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greeting each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude
  • providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service
  • directing customers to the proper area and providing general information as requested
  • ringing up all sales transactions into the cash register and completing sales
  • ensuring that each customer receives the proper change and correct receipt for purchase
  • following all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and Round Up program
  • keeping the register area clean and orderly at all times
  • answering telephone calls promptly using established etiquette
  • assisting sales floor employees with stocking and recovery
