Job Duties

  • Greeting each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude
  • providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times
  • directing customers to the proper area and providing general information as requested
  • ringing up all sales transactions into the cash register and complete sales
  • ensuring that each customer receives the proper change and correct receipt for purchase
  • following all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and change Round Up program
  • keeping the register area clean and orderly at all times
  • answering telephone calls promptly using an established etiquette procedure
  • assisting sales floor employees with stocking and recovery
