Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- high school education or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or cashiering experience preferred
- basic computer skills
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally 40 pounds
- visual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus
- ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or cashiering experience highly preferred
- basic computer skills
- beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers
- ability to work standing and walking for long periods
- ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds occasionally
- good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Greeting customers with a courteous and professional attitude
- providing prompt and efficient customer service
- directing customers to store areas and providing general information
- ringing up all sales transactions accurately
- ensuring customers receive correct change and receipts
- following policies on cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and donation programs
- maintaining a clean and orderly register area
- responding to telephone calls promptly
- assisting sales floor staff with stocking and recovery
