Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- high school education or equivalent is preferred
- previous retail and/or cashiering experience is highly preferred
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull
- ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus
- ability to work in a moderate noise level environment
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- high school education or equivalent is preferred
- previous retail and/or cashiering experience is highly preferred
- basic computer skills
- beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers
Job Duties
- Greeting each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude
- providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times
- directing customers to the proper area and providing general information as requested
- ringing up all sales transactions into the cash register and completing sales
- ensuring that each customer receives the proper change and correct receipt for purchase
- following all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and the Round Up program
- keeping the register area clean and orderly at all times
- answering telephone calls promptly using an established etiquette procedure
- assisting sales floor employees with stocking and recovery
