Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • Ability to perform hand use motions including grasping, manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work in temperatures of less than 32 degrees, 32-40 degrees, and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • May require use of ladders

Job Qualifications

  • 6-12 months retail experience
  • Thorough product knowledge
  • Working knowledge and application of merchandising expectations

  • Basic math skills for recipe conversions and modifications
  • Ability to use point of sale electronic systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Measures and mixes raw materials according to company specifications and recipes
  • Forms, cuts, molds, shapes, and bakes dough
  • Monitors cooking completion times and sets heat and humidity temperatures for proof box
  • Checks product to ensure it meets Whole Foods Market quality standards
  • Completes temperature, sweep, and sanitation logs
  • Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs in a timely manner and models suggestive selling techniques
  • Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • Follows and complies with established procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment and equipment
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties
  • Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
