Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
0-2 years of experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to lift, carry, push and pull loads up to 80 lbs
willingness to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
reliable attendance and punctuality
strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

Some experience in a retail store preferred
ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service
ability to learn, differentiate, and retain information regarding product lines and locations
specialized knowledge of retail store operations helpful
ability to read
ability to operate various food preparation and store equipment safely

Job Duties

Providing exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
maintaining proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions such as stocking, cleaning, and rotating products within the store
maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the department's cases, prep area, floors, and coolers
minimizing shrink by ensuring all price discrepancies are resolved immediately
ensuring all equipment is treated and maintained properly
following all food safety and sanitation procedures including process, preparation and packaging of food in accordance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations
assisting workers in other departments when the needs of the business require
collaborating with other departments when inter-departmental or storewide sales promotions warrant
performing other duties as assigned by management
