Job Requirements

  • Be a U.S. citizen or national
  • Meet minimum age requirement
  • Males born after 12-31-1959 must be registered with or exempt from Selective Service
  • Subject to identity and employment eligibility verification through E-Verify
  • Subject to suitability or fitness determination and fingerprinting
  • Obtain and maintain clearance eligibility based on background investigation
  • May be subject to probationary or trial period
  • Direct deposit of pay is required
  • Meet physical requirements of lifting 30-40 pounds
  • Work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Submit OF-306 declaration if selected

Job Qualifications

  • One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other related work experience that demonstrates ability to acquire necessary knowledge and skills
  • Two full years of education above high school at an accredited business, secretarial, technical school, junior college, college, or university
  • Combination of experience and education meeting minimum qualifications
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and handle items weighing between 30 and 40 pounds
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
  • Effective communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficiency with electronic checkout systems
  • Ability to maintain safety and housekeeping standards

Job Duties

  • Assisting customers by answering questions such as item price or location, and handling bulky or heavy items
  • Operating an electronic checkout system to record unit price, total customer purchase, and make change
  • Performing a variety of duties in handling, preparing and maintaining stock levels of grocery and produce items
  • Reviewing stock levels and gathering inventory data to maintain the Computer Assisted Ordering system
  • Preparing and maintaining documents to order commissary items, reconcile invoices and submit requisitions
  • Maintaining security, safety, and sanitation practices and procedures
