Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly including overhead lifting
- Visual acuity to perform tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading and inspecting small details
- Availability to work part-time approximately 20 hours per week
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Basic proficiency with handling cash and point of sale systems
- Willingness to assist across multiple store departments
- Customer-focused mindset with compassion and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion
- Focusing on the customer by giving a warm greeting, maintaining eye contact and offering assistance
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors and managing inventory tasks
- Supporting opening and closing store activities as needed
- Providing support to all departments including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational
- Assisting pharmacy personnel during shifts as part of career growth opportunities
- Embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs
