Job Requirements

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods
  • Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly including overhead lifting
  • Visual acuity to perform tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading and inspecting small details
  • Availability to work part-time approximately 20 hours per week
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic proficiency with handling cash and point of sale systems
  • Willingness to assist across multiple store departments
  • Customer-focused mindset with compassion and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion
  • Focusing on the customer by giving a warm greeting, maintaining eye contact and offering assistance
  • Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions
  • Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors and managing inventory tasks
  • Supporting opening and closing store activities as needed
  • Providing support to all departments including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational
  • Assisting pharmacy personnel during shifts as part of career growth opportunities
  • Embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs
