Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- Proven work experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and stock cases weighing up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency in English
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Ability to comply with company policies and safety regulations

- Proven work experience as a retail store associate, sales representative or similar role
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Proficiency in English
- Basic math skills
- Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Familiarity with inventory procedures
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
- Ability to understand and comply with company policies and procedures relating to the safe and proper handling of convenience store and petroleum products
- Availability to work flexible shifts

Job Duties
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
- Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
- Maintain assigned areas in-stock and in presentable condition
- Actively seek out customers in store
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Perform housekeeping duties, as assigned and assist in maintaining a clean and inviting store appearance
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Assist in ensuring that all pumps, equipment, signs and facilities are functioning and look good
- Work in the walk-in cooler
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Adhere to tobacco and alcohol sales regulations
- Cross sell products
- Handle returns of merchandise
- Maintain all food service and beverage areas
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
- Build rapport with customers and provide a pleasant shopping experience
- Comply with inventory control procedures
- Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store's design)
