Job Requirements
- Some experience in a retail store preferred
- Ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service
- Ability to learn and retain product information
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift or carry loads up to 80 pounds frequently
- Availability to work morning, day, or evening shifts as required
- Ability to operate store equipment such as mixers, ovens, and slicers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Some experience in a retail store preferred
- Ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service
- Knowledge of retail store operations helpful
- Ability to learn, differentiate, and retain information regarding product lines and locations
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Ability to operate various store equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and computerized labeling machines
- Physical ability to handle frequent standing, walking, lifting or carrying up to 80 pounds
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions through stocking, cleaning and rotating products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department's cases, prep area, floors, and coolers
- Minimize shrink by resolving all price discrepancies immediately
- Ensure all equipment is treated and maintained properly
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures including process, preparation, and packaging of food in accordance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations
- Assist workers in other departments when business needs require
- Collaborate with other departments for inter-departmental or storewide sales promotions
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
