Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 0-2 years experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred
- Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, days, and evenings
- Availability for part-time employment with potential for full-time
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 80 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compliance with food safety and sanitation policies
Job Qualifications
- Some experience in a retail store preferred
- Ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service
- Ability to read and retain information regarding product lines and locations
- Ability to operate various equipment including mixers, ovens, fryers, slicers, and computerized label machines
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, handle, and perform repetitive physical tasks
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions such as stocking, cleaning and rotating products within the store
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department's cases, prep area, floors, and coolers
- Minimize shrink by ensuring all price discrepancies are resolved immediately
- Ensure all equipment is treated and maintained properly
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures including process, preparation and packaging of food in accordance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations
- Assist workers in other departments when the needs of the business require
- Collaborate with other departments when inter-departmental or storewide sales promotions warrant
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
