Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently including overhead lifting
- Visual acuity to perform tasks such as reading and inspecting small parts
- Available to work approximately 29 hours per week
- Ability to work part-time hours
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills to accurately handle transactions
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new CVS services and systems
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions
- Focusing on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting and offering help locating additional items
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information and completing inventory management tasks
- Supporting opening and closing store activities when needed
- Providing customer support to various departments including photo and beauty and ensuring departments are fully stocked and operational
- Assisting pharmacy personnel when needed including working regular shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities
- Embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs
