Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods of time
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, including overhead lifting
- Visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details
- Availability to work part-time hours, typically around 20 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to provide warm and friendly customer service
- Basic math skills for cashier duties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to assist in pharmacy and other store areas as needed
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions, and actively identifying and resolving potential service issues
- Focusing on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting, maintaining eye contact and offering help locating additional items when needed
- Accurately perform cashier duties including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager
- Supporting opening and closing store activities when needed
- Providing customer support to all departments including photo and beauty, ensuring departments are fully stocked and operational, and staying current with all updated services and tools
- Assisting pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities
