Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- able to stand for extended periods
- capable of lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally and smaller weights regularly
- able to perform tasks requiring close visual acuity such as reading and computer use
- flexible to support various store operational activities
- availability for part-time schedule averaging 29 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
- ability to provide compassionate customer service
- proficiency in handling cash and basic retail transactions
- ability to perform inventory management tasks
- excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- willingness to assist in various departments including pharmacy as needed
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions, and actively identifying and resolving potential service issues
- focusing on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting, maintaining eye contact and offering help locating additional items, when needed
- accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in compliance with company policies
- maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks
- supporting opening and closing store activities as needed
- providing customer support in all departments including photo and beauty by ensuring stock and operation readiness
- assisting pharmacy personnel as required including working regular shifts for growth opportunities
- embracing and advocating for new CVS services and customer loyalty programs
