Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently including overhead lifting
- Close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing computer screens and inspecting small details
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain a friendly and customer-focused attitude
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to assist in multiple departments and learn new services
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion and care
- Focusing on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting and offering help locating additional items
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information and completing inventory tasks
- Supporting opening and closing store activities
- Providing customer support to all departments including photo and beauty and ensuring departments are stocked and operational
- Assisting pharmacy personnel when needed and working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth opportunities
- Embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs
