Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently
- Close visual acuity to perform tasks involving computer terminals and small details
- Availability to work part-time hours
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Strong attention to detail in transaction handling
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting helpful
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Basic math skills for cashier duties
- Customer service orientation
- Willingness to embrace new services and learn continuously
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion and care
- Focusing on the customer with a warm greeting, maintaining eye contact and offering assistance
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions
- Maintaining the sales floor through restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing and completing inventory tasks
- Supporting opening and closing store activities as needed
- Providing customer support to all departments including photo and beauty
- Assisting pharmacy personnel and working regular shifts in the pharmacy for career development
- Embracing and advocating new CVS services and loyalty programs
