Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods
- ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently including overhead lifting
- close visual acuity for activities such as reading and visual inspection of small parts
- availability to work part time approximately 10 hours per week
- ability to follow company policies and procedures
- commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- basic math skills for cashier duties
- willingness to learn and support pharmacy personnel as opportunities arise
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions
- focusing on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting and offering help locating additional items when needed
- accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions while following company policies
- maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information and completing inventory tasks
- supporting opening and closing store activities as needed
- providing customer support to all departments including photo and beauty while ensuring departments are fully stocked and operational
- assisting pharmacy personnel when needed and working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities
- embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs
