Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly including overhead lifting
- Visual acuity for close tasks such as computer use and reading
- Availability to work part time, typically 29 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- Ability to perform cashier duties with accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of inventory management
- Willingness to learn and embrace new CVS Health services
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
Job Duties
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs
- Demonstrate compassion and care in all interactions
- Actively identify and resolve potential service issues
- Give a warm and friendly greeting to customers
- Maintain eye contact and offer help locating items
- Accurately perform cashier duties handling cash, checks and credit card transactions
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing
- Complete inventory management tasks as directed
- Support opening and closing store activities when needed
- Provide customer support to departments including photo and beauty
- Ensure departments are fully stocked and operational
- Assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy for career development
- Advocate and promote CVS services and loyalty programs
