Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly including overhead lifting
- Having close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing computer terminals, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts
- Availability to work approximately 29 hours per week
- Ability to work part-time as required
- Willingness to support multiple departments and tasks within the store environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Comfortable interacting with diverse customer demographics
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs and demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions
- Focusing on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting, maintaining eye contact, and offering help locating additional items
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions while adhering to company policies
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks
- Supporting store opening and closing activities as needed
- Providing customer support across all departments including photo and beauty, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
- Assisting pharmacy personnel as needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth opportunities
- Embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs that promote better health
