Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Remain upright on feet for sustained periods
- Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, with negligible regular force including overhead lifting
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details
- Ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts and every weekend
- Must be able to follow company policies and procedures precisely
- Physical ability to perform cashier and stock duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Willingness to learn and support various store departments
- Ability to operate point of sale systems and inventory management tools
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic
Job Duties
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions, and actively identifying and resolving potential service issues
- Focus on the customer by giving a warm and friendly greeting, maintaining eye contact and offering help locating additional items when needed
- Accurately perform cashier duties including handling cash, checks and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager
- Support opening and closing store activities as required
- Provide customer support to all departments such as photo and beauty, ensuring these areas are fully stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools
- Assist pharmacy personnel when needed including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities
- Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that support the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health
